Marie Forleo has very comprehensive online course called B-School. We have been a lifetime member for two years and I have run into two people in Vancouver who said that investing in B-School was the best thing they ever did.

Her courses and books are amazing and you can hear echos of her teachings in other speaking coaches such as Karen McGregor. There could have been another mentor before them, though it looks like the main influence was Lisa Sasevich.
It is on our list to attend one of her live events in San Diego and become Sassys:-)
it is hard to imagine a more colorful frontman than Russell Brunson. He is outrageous and I am one of many that think of him as a marketing genius.
One of his insights is funnel hacking. Like Tony Robbins, he says study people and businesses that are successful and do what they do. His presentations and book have these fun cartoon illustrations that he creates live.
Dan Kennedy is a straight-talking, No B.S. marketing genius and writer.
I am tempted to say his is the Anti-Marie (Forleo, that is), though I think their advice differs mostly in style. I suspect Dan Kennedy and Jersey Marie (Marie Forleo‘s Jersey girl alter-ego) would get along hilariously.

Q&A…you’ve got questions, Dan’s got answers!
From Todd Squitieri: I’m curious. Has Dan ever written any NO BS books or articles on relationships and finding compatible partners. I know he has been married, divorced, re-married, so I’d like his perspective. If he doesn’t travel much, how did he find a significant other in the first place? I’ve found a couple clues in his books. But why hasn’t he written more about this? After all, relationships are a form of business and business deals.
DAN: Everybody’s a comedian. Asking me to explain marriage or domestic partnership or women or wives is like asking Roseanne Barr for a lecture on restraint and discretion about public vs. private thoughts. But on the off chance Todd’s not just yanking my chain for the fun of it, I have a few comments.
First, Napoleon Hill got this right, and I’d refer you to his writing on the importance of a reasonably stable, reasonably harmonious relationship and home life for the entrepreneur. If you want a completely stable relationship, get a horse. But managing two battlegrounds, one at home, one in business is, for almost everybody, one too many. I talk, mostly privately, with clients suffering with unsupportive and toxic spouses and emergent or chronic volatility and drama on the home front, and my advice is consistent: confront and fix fast and permanently or write whatever check you must to get out as quickly and cleanly as you can.
Hill had no great advice on finding the right person, nor do I, but you might start with clarity about what won’t do. Setting aside the brief disruption, I have been fortunate with my marriage and life with Carla. I rarely credit “fortunate” for good things because I believe accomplishments have explanations, but in this singular case, I cannot explain my good fortune.
To your point about the kinship of personal relationships to business relationships, a caution, since you indicate you are in search of mate: I would imagine most women won’t like the analogy. Probably not first date conversation. Yet I’d say you are right about certain fundamentals.
Anytime you move from transactional activity to long-term relationships, trust becomes a central issue, far more so than specific, micro accounted for quid pro quo. Had you asked me about sustaining long-term business relationships — a more appropriate question for my expertise — I would have told you that I observe relatively few people really good at this, many utterly inept at it and, in many cases, also pretty ignorant about its linkage to sustaining success. That does not suggest you sacrifice and compromise or allow dependence on everybody’s approval, but it does mean you need to invest to cultivate a quality reputation so that long-standing relationships with quality people are possible.
In The Renegade Millionaire System, I suggest a useful litmus test for business deals: can the individual you are contemplating doing a deal with cite at least three others that have done more than one deal with him? If not, odds are, you won’t be the first one to wind up happy. Anyway, thanks for the question.
